J.B.Our beloved pet J.B. is due for surgery today to have a rectal tumor operated on. He also has a benign fatty tissues growth to the flank which the Vet. recommended to leave it be for it's only aethestic and doesn't interfere with his health.
Ha and her husband appear to head toward a divorce. Mother is toying with the idea of living in the old country 10 months out of the year, and 2 months here in the States.... Big dream but not a realistic one.
Jim and I continue to try to stay fit by eating moderately and work out on a regular basic. Jeff and his young family is thriving, Steve is in school still. I prepare myself to return to school as well.
The severe drought nationawide is being lifted temporarily here. Rain falls begun since last night, and still pouring with flat floods warning locally.

MotherThe recooperative process is going well. She remains pain free 2 weeks after surgery. Her appetite is improving. Her voice is still hoarse but audible, she looks hopeful and pleasant. Thuy suprised me by telling me she too has an appointment with the doctor to check up with her thyroid problem. I thought what I tried to encouraged her to take better care of herself was blown off with the wind. She did take my words seriously. I'm so relieved!

Ballerina 2002-2006The little gold fish we raised in our first water garden at 40's was left behind in the small pond the Thanksgiving we moved, the following spring Jeff found the gold fish and brought it home. The little thing lived in our aquarium for a good long while, until we moved it into our Koi pond in the back yard. Summer 2006 was the last time Ballerina was last seen.

The Very First SpringBulbs Garden We Made.A reproduction of a pix of our very first garden where the Japanese Maple was planted. In this very garden, where we discovered two Tulip buds welcomed us -- the newly wedded couple home that spring.
Jim has the love for evergreen plants, so the golden/variegated eunamous (?) were his idea. Springbulbs and pansies topdress were mine. There our tradition was first created.

Jim\'s & Mine very first Garden.I remember picking out this Crimson Queen Japanese Maple, soon there later Jim created this curved flower bed for my spring bulbs planting....
The Flower bed today: Though, we no longer live here, we can still enjoy the garden that we started together when we first met from our very own current back yard.
The current owners of the property only use this as a vacation home. None of them seem to be able to differentiate b/w a weed and a cultivated flower. Most of the beautiful plants were gone, but the Maple remains a prominent feature in the landscape.
