Transplanting risksThey say California poppies don't like to be transplanted. I dug up a few seedlings from the back flowerbeds because it is apparent to me when I look at the dripline from the eves of the sunroom, that they may not get the rain, like the others. I planted them along side of the others in the garage beds, will see if they live or not. Will also see if I have anymore seeds and if so, will direct sow them there. Might have to move those phlox that are in same bed and are having brown leaves. Maybe it is from lack of water? I have been watering them, every other day for sure, if not every day. I do not see any signs of mildew. Maybe they don't get enough air circulation.
Since the dwarf fairy candytuft do so beautifully, I had some seeds of same that I had saved back so I direct sowed them in living room flower bed today.
Hope they come up and do well. They reseed and are easy to grow.
Maybe I might direct sow some other seeds that I have here. Gathering seeds from the Sweet William for next year.
