Spring bulbs planted
I've been waiting for the ground to dry up after all the rainfall we've had in Sept. and October..Yesterday I decided it was in the 60's temperature range but there was a fine mist in the air all day, making it feel cold and I could on;y get the daffodils that I dug up back after they bloom replanted yesterday. With my Raynaud's, I had to quit, working with the soil was just too cold and it took a couple of hours from my fingers to feel warm and ok.
Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011..I finished planting the Pretty in Pink Triump Tulips today. Nice day but a bit of breeze; at least warmer than yesterday. I sitll have about 5 tulip bulbs left and I'd like to get some more and plant in the patio containers. Maybe add some daffs and grape hyacinths around the edge. Will wrap a piece of hardware cloth around the pot or put a stepping stone on top till it freezes, then life off so squirrels don't get in it and dig up.
Sprayed Liquid Fence on the dirt where I planted until I can get mulch put on top and cayenne pepper.
