Almost all daffodils blooming now. The last to have opened were the thalia's planted fall '05.
The bed by the hot tub has frit. persica and king alfred daffs in blooms, with tulips getting ready. They've been sprayed once with the anti-deer spray (but it's rained since then, so I need to get a new coat on.
Have abt half dozen frit. meleagris open at the moment with more emerging. Looks like I've got a white one on the way--- all open so far have been checkered..
In the center bed, pasque flowers blooming on one plant & ready to on the second. ABout half dozen of the lily of the valley have made an appearance (just foliage at this point).
Light yellow tulips open in bed next to Cavanaugh's fence, along with muscari and daffodils.
Muscari & daffs open in bed by birdfeeders.
I fear both trilliums got eaten by squirrels. I did put out some cayenne pepper yesterday, & hope that deters them.
Planty of columbines, & some verbascum showing foliage.
Tulip tree has 2 fat blooms.
Dogwood developing buds & Japanese maple is starting to show leaf development.
Oh-- and I have 2 frit. uva-vulpis returning from last year. And one clematis (in the hot tub bed) shows growth. The other 2 that I tried to protect by leaving them in a pot I believe have been eaten: deer? squirrels? Cats? Who knows?
