August 2010 Late Summer Bloom
Wanted to note that our Iron weed (grown from seed) is in its first year of bloom and giving a nice show. We also have Golden rod rigidia in bloom along with it and again a nice addition to this 'wild garden'. Our Eupatorium 'Little Joe' is in bloom with the morning glories and is getting choked out. Also coming along are some small sunflowers. I wish I had more of the big sunflowers this year.
Other plants in bloom are buddliea, zinnias, tithonia, coral honeysuckles, rudbeckia goldstrum (almost finished), liatris ligulistilis and more.
Also assorted hummingbird plants including a lot of salvias, manettias, coral bean, and others.
