Named in honor of Olof (Olaf) Bromel, 18th century Swedish botanist, Bromeliads encompass more than 50 epiphytic genera, and includes some familiar plants such as pineapple and tillandsia. From Aechmea to Vriesea, these beautiful plants are often grown indoors in temperate climates. Want to learn more?
