Arguably one of the most diverse and beautiful groups of summer-flowering plants, Dahlias are tender tubers that reward gardeners with blooms that range from diminutive pompons to huge dinnerplate size flowers in mid to late summer. Be sure to check out the Dahlia cultivars in PlantFiles, and once you've gotten bit by the Dahlia bug, you'll want to start or add to your collection. Here are several mailorder sources to help you find the varieties you're seeking, and a few books to add to your growing knowledge.
