Have you thought of growing them in a container as an indoor? I have one artichoke in a container & it is going fine.
The log cabin sounds nice Sue. I could handle living in one I reckon. The moss sounds like a great idea too. A bit of work but it could look amazing. It is too dry here for anything like that.
