Comercial galleries are few and far between these days.
My cousin is a painter in Maine and galleries are suffering there as well as here.
In the past six years nearly all the profitable galleries in this area and city sold out or closed.
I hang in two.
One here in Rochester and another 20 miles away.
No sales in the far one for a year now ( my work is over $300.00) and here in town I had a solo show in the month of May and sold four small pieces.Sales don't keep up with the cost of supplies.
These are a few pictures of my show when it was hung.
This is a beautiful gallery space, just two years old.
