scarediecat wrote: Well, I finished my first “face jug”. He is called “the Gambler”. I listed him on Ebay today under OTC (open theme challenge) pottery face jug “Chameleon”. I have a couple of brother in laws that wanted him but I told them after all the work and worry I put into him they’d have to bid on him on Ebay – just like everyone else. Boy was this a learning experience!! Next time it will be more face and less body. I did fire him once more on low fire and the colors turned out great….wwwhhhheeeewwww. I made a mistake when I said I broke his legs after he was bisque. His legs came off while he was green ware. I reinforced them by connecting them to the stump he is sitting on. You take off his hat to fill the jug. You pour the “liquid” out of his mouth…the little whole under his tongue. You can remove his gun and the cylinder to the gun spins. He comes with marked playing cards and trick dice!! I loved creating him but boy am I burned out. Check him out on Ebay. Thanks for all the help. I don't think I could have pulled it off without it!
I have done little else but work on “the Gambler” but I did get to fire the rest of the dragon when I fired the glazes on the Gambler. So the dragon is finished!! Now I just have to hang him in the bathroom. I’ll post a photo when I’m done – hopefully next week.
