If anyone has good ideas for landscaping these two small gardens (approx 11 ft X 6-7 ft) shown in the pictures below I would appreciate any advice I can get. The arborvitae on the right and the maple in the corner of the left hand side are staying. We are open to anything. The right hand side is considered full shade. The left hand side gets partial sun that runs in almost a diagnol line across the garden keeping the maple in enough sun to keep the leaves red. We would like to cover the basement window and the water meter. A local garden center suggested
a pyramid boxwood next to the stairs on both sides and an azalea in the center, along with 1 russian cypress (siberian carpet) in front on the left side and 2 on the right side. Liriope was suggested to surround the base of the japanese maple on the left. Any other advice, suggestions would be appreciated.
