After reading everything and doing some additional research, I am 99.9% positive this is a Star of Yelta. Malus2006 your question was particularly helpful. I remember distinctly that the heavenly blue morning glory I planted at the same time & in the same container bloomed significantly earlier than my purple morning glory. I didn't have any blooms on the purple plant for a long time, but it grew taller faster. The purple morning glory is now twice the height of the heavenly blue next to it. I got (what I believe is) a seed pod today, so now I can regrow this beauty no matter what (hopefully). Thank you again for all of the help!
