I never forget, as along with so many families, I have one of the Anzacs in my family. My grandfather , who was killed at Gallipoli and is buried there.
Such young men, giving their all for their country. We should never forget what their sacrifice gave us. A beautiful free country .
I always have a thought for all those others in all the other wars , both past and present, too.
We are so lucky that there were and are still, people like them in larger numbers than the pathetic few that have no regard for themselves or anyone else.
Rest in Peace, grandad.
I'm off outside to enjoy the sun and finish yesterdays demolition work. Enjoy your day with family or on your own .
Have a cuppa and a few Anzac Biscuits and sit in your gardens for a while reflecting on those brave men and women who allowed us to have those gardens.
