We spent the first 18 months removing 26 trees that were either diseased, drought damaged or planted too close to the house. The previous owner had planted Asian creeping jasmine as a ground cover on all four sides...beds about a meter deep. The photo above is in front of the house and starts a meter out from the foundation. When digging for it, we were still pulling out jasmine root. This is where my orchids live in the summer and supports the clematis and climbing roses.
