Wet, miserable morning all! Heh heh. yuck outside! Think I'll just stay in bed today. I have a cold anyway, so it will be good for me.
Shirley, my printer died yesterday too! First the colour cartridge played up, and then the black one ran out (which I replaced) then it started eating paper, and now its definitely kaput! I saw some wireless ones for sale at the PO in town, for $79, Canon brand, I think? If I remember right, they were print, copy and scan devices, so I'll check them out.
Good to hear I'm not the only one to pick up a cheap pot of Hallelujah! I could sell my two potfulls a million times over, when I have a sale, but I can't bring myself to divide them up, as they look so good just as they are. One of them is flowering, infact, a bit slower than the rest.
Love your pics Nev. I had curly tops, but think that one went to Colleen also? I do have Tim Plowman as an inheritance from leisa, and haven't yet worked out what the difference is? both quesnelia marmorata cultivars I think? Congratulations on your success at enjoying the power point process. heres hoping the more you practise the better you lie it, as I am sure you could do some amazing things with the knowledge you have on bromeliads.
Karen, yes definitely guzmania in your picture. Is it a small plant? If so, it could be G. lingulata Minor. Although, there are ALOT of guzmania hybrids, as they have been imported from Holland for the nursery trade for years, and have flooded the big department store chains for some time now. Always a lovely plant though, and I am not adverse to buying them when I see a pretty one. they do quite well in my garden too.
How is you collection going Bree? Did you finish your garden? The one you psted a pic of sometime back? We woud love to see some pics.
I do hope the sun is shining somewhere, for someone, and that we all keep warm and dry. Waving to you Colleen, hoping you are warm and dry too!
first photo is from Leisas garden. I think this Neo might be 'Downs Autumn' which isn't registered, but I believe there are quite a few in the 'Downs' series
picture two is also one of Leisas called 'Aurora' and its a mini. My photos are appearing to be a bit pinker than they are, and Aurora is actually black, while Downs Autumn is a darker purple in the centre.
