I woke up this morning to find my cat gnawing on the leaves of this. After talking to my vet and examining the ASPCA guide to toxic plants, I think she's probably OK, but I still want to know what it is, just in case. I've had it for about 8 years and have lost the tag that came with it. I'm thinking it's a kentia or cat palm, maybe?

It's about a foot and a half tall, but was maybe six inches when I got it. The leaves are quite a bit greener than they look in the (sideways) photo (sorry, my cellphone takes terrible pics) and new leaf/frond things look like spears for a week or two, then unfold. It likes wet soil. I'm in NorCal near Sacramento, and it seems to do alright during the winter even though I have no heat, although it does seem pretty dormant during the cold. I can take more photos if they're needed.

Also, while I'm here, I had to put it outside for about a week while my building was fumigated in August and the heat and sun almost killed it (or at least, not being acclimated to them did). It was in pretty bad shape for a while. It's starting to bounce back, but is there anything I can do to help it recover faster?
