1:33 PM | I've never done bonsai but I'm beginning to think I want to try. However, I live in hot as @@$@# Texas, and any tiny tree I put outside in a tiny little pot is going to bake immediately at 110*. Also, I don't want to become a prisoner of my tree. So...can you make a medium bonsai that would not require such total dedication and might withstand the summer heat? I would like to try one of my wild Mexican plum trees. They are small, have very fragrant blossoms in the spring and bear pretty red plums (also small). It is native here and could stand up to the heat. I think I would have to have a larger pot for greater moisture and coolness. Is this possible? |
