November 26, 2006 3:54 PM | Hoping someone who knows might see this thread: I am moving soon to an area that suffers flooding in some parts, not others. In looking at tax records for homes I like I see the following as charges for the property taxes:
017 KLEIN ISD 1.70000 1.58000
040 HARRIS COUNTY 0.39986 View
041 HARRIS CO FLOOD CNTRL 0.03322
042 PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHY 0.01474
043 HARRIS CO HOSP DIST 0.19216
044 HARRIS CO EDUC DEPT 0.00629
045 N HARRIS-MONT COL DIS 0.12070
175 FOUNTAINHEAD MUD 0.51000 0.51000
645 HC EMERG SRV DIST 29 0.04915
666 HC EMERG SERV DIST 11 0.03000
Now my question is about the last 2 items seen....as this is not on the tax records for all the homes I am looking at in the same relative area....I think this means this home is actually IN the flood plain....am I correct? You will notice it charges for Harris County Flood Control but every home in this area pays this tax.
Hope you can shed some light on this. Thanks. |
