Hi everyone! I just joined this evening and I live in South Carolina. I am growing German Queen, Brandywine, pink & red Beefsteaks, and Rutgers (don't know how well they do here cause it's my first time). My plants are huge and they have only been planted for about a month (3-41/2') tall and they look healthy, but some of the blooms aren't producing fruit. I have some tomatoes that are at least 3-4", yet there are some on the very same clusters that have dried up blooms (some also have a little yellowing on the stem and will break right off). I also noticed on some of those old blooms there is a little bit of black spotting on the stem of the bloom itself. Most of these blooms are on the bottom to mid sections of the plants. The plants look very healthy in general and there are plenty of fresh blooms throughout the mid to upper parts of the plants.

So my question is, can anybody tell me how I can have all this beatiful fruit living right next door to what appears to be dead fruit (same cluster)? Is that fruit really dead or will it bloom out soon? Is this normal or should I be worried? OK, that is a couple of questions.... Please help-----I have been looking forward to these tomatos since last summer!
