We have recently bought our first home, a 150+ year old home. A lot of upgrades have been done already. We just need to change the upstairs plaster to gyproc. However, in the main bathroom they installed a window inside the shower. As you can probably guess we are running into issues with mold. We have been noticing "mushrooms" coming out from under the window sil. I have cut them off but they come back. The previous owners have never experienced this and we have never really done home repair. Any suggestions??

Did you try spraying with one of the new antibacterial sprays that have anti fungus in them. I find they work well. I will have to find the name of it as it has gone right out of my head at the moment.

Try cleaning it with Clorox and let dry then spray with Concrobium Mold Control. I've had really good results. You can find it at Lowe's in the paint department. You really have to look for it and sometimes even ask but it's there. Let us know how it works for you.

Here is a link for you: [HYPERLINK@www.concrobium.com]
