| WUVIE Hulbert, OK Zone 7a November 8, 2007 | It's a vacuum cleaner! Yep, that's right. I've been having so much fun with the vac lately. A zillion wasps have tried to make their home in a nook on the front porch. I simply combined a few tubes and stuck the tubes up to the hole, sucking wasps out. After a few minutes of sucking out bugs, I went back inside to do other things. When I returned, there were more wasps. Zoooop! Last weekend many dozen wasps lost their grip. I left the vac on the porch overnight, which stunned them even further with the cold temperatures, so when it came time to dump them into a bag and tie it shut, they were very cooperative. Today I decided the little vac (Optima) has such a good strong suction, that I would attach the brush and brush-vac our Yorkie. She loved it! It not only sucks off fleas, but leaves and such from her fur. Organic flea control! Ha! I then moved on to suck the life out of the dryer lint filter, the vent at the bottom of the refrigerator and every nook and cranny I can find. Lamp shades, table tops, you name it. Having too much fun, I need a real job!

They love my hummingbird feeders, and it can be tricky to pick them off it with suction. Sometimes they are so busy eating that I can get them head first. When they take off they are going to fly forward so that's why I try to get them head first. If they get away sometimes I can get them in mid air. My son and hubby think I'm nuts, but it is great sport! Most of the nests are too high to get with the vacuum, but there have been a few in the right places to take the most exciting trip of their lives. |

Took off the front plastic grill then got a long skinny brush- they make some for this, but minewere a set ofr aquarium tubing cleaning- and go after the dust monsters all around the coils. Very satisfying! Prackly laying on the floor with brush, flashlight and vac tube. |

Everyone needs a pat on the back now and then...even the live in maid, laundrylady, cook, cleaner and Jill of All Trades! Doesn't stop me from remarking on how clean everything is and how HARD I Worked!!! Therefore.....No dinner prepared due to extreme exhaustion. Choice: clean the frige out or visit a local eatery.....:) |

I really would clean anddecorate a little better if ANYBODY IN THIS HOUSE CARED. Til then I get to pick and choose!! I am lucky my husband apparently agrees. |
