So here is a pic of my first attempt at Bonsai. Figured I needed to figure out how to do it before teaching the kids.

I picked out this tsuga hemlock at a local nursery, it was just a little round ball, think it turned out pretty good for first time; looks healthy. I need to wire more, have to say, I like the pruning - but a little hesitant about the wiring. The kids like the wiring part, I am amazed at their patience. They said they felt like they were putting braces on the trees and asked when the tree could get its braces off! ha ha

I started the kids with indoor bonsai, such as ficus trees, we will try the hemlock now.
I have Japanese maples and Japanese white pines on there way for next group of kids.
They want to add rocks and some moss, good idea for creativity.
I have explained the importance of watering, and that the plants are not forgiving if you neglect them. I have been impressed how much care they have given there plants. They even named them. Ha ha

Any suggestions or tips let me know, I'm learning as I go.
