Okay, I'm SURE this is a really dumb question, and one that I shouldn't have to ask but here goes. Where is the link to add a plant not in a href="/guides/pf/">PlantFiles?

(I've got a pumpkin seed that I'm not sure is a *real* variety, so I would prefer to not add it to a href="/guides/pf/">PlantFiles just yet, but I do want to track it in my journal this year.)

Second dumb question. (When it rains, it pours...)

If I open any item in my journal to edit it, the text fields all go blank, so I have to re-enter the common and botanical name if I want to actually edit the entry in any way.

There is no link. Add an entry at whatever category in your journal you choose. Or cheat and add the wrong one from a href="/guides/pf/">PlantFiles and go back and edit it.

Ooh, I've never had that happen, and I edit all the time.

Terry - go to the Category that you want to put the new entry in and at the top is a "Add a new item to this category" link.

I'm not sure why all your text is disappearing when you click edit. I've never had that happen before, but I went in to test it just now in case it was a bug that just showed up. I clicked edit on a couple of things, and all the text I'd put in before still showed up. I tested one plant that I added through PF and one that I added manually and they both worked just how they're supposed to. Maybe restart your browser or reboot the computer and see what happens (that's my answer to all mysterious computer problems!)
