He was making so much noise the Towhee didn't hear me sneaking up on him!! Recently they have been doing a lot of singing in the tree tops!! Forgot to mention that his name is Elvis!! I think they offer nanny and tutoring for fledgling cardinals |
| astilbebain Cape Cod, MA Zone 7a May 2, 2008 | I have lived within 20 miles of where I am now for about 25 years...and never saw a towhee until I moved into my current home. That was 4 years ago...we have many trees here, and I started using shredded leaf mulch everywhere. The towhees love to scratch through the leaf litter like little chickens. :) If I'd known it was that easy to attract them, I'd have done it sooner! |
