I thought this one was Chilasa clytia but No, I was wrong again. I'm just learning the names and I need help. Can anyone help me out?

Mg, I think it's a Variable Cracker, Hamadryas feronia.

Did you see this at a butterfly exhibit?

Yep! Natural History butterfly display in Washington DC. The only ones on the list they gave us was Myscelia cyaniris, Idea leuconoe and Chilosa clytia. Now I'm really not sure what it can be. I'll check out the Hamadryas feronia. Thanks.

I agree that this image is of the Variable Cracker - Hamadryas feronia and I have modified the BugFile entry to that species: [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]

Thank you, but that wasn't one of the choices on the cards we were given. Of course I never thought to ask if they had butterflies that weren't listed on the cards. I have many pictures of different butterflies but it's going to take me a long while to figure out who they are. They also had the chrysalis on display. Thanks for your help. I've raised butterflies last years but these were all new to me.
