i recently found this very small insect in my house the other day and it's not the first time either and now that i took a picture of it i can really see how it looks and been wondering what is it? is it dangerous? thanks for your help!!

That is a scorpion of some type, and judging by the small size of the pinchers/claws I would say it has pretty potent venom. Where are you located. I would shake out my shoes each morning before putting them on. There are some that have venom strong enough to kill a human.

No, that is not a Scorpion, but a Pseudoscorpion. Scorpions and Pseudoscorpions are both Arachnids (with the spiders), but are in different orders. The scorpions are in the Scorpiones while the Pseudoscorpions are in the Pseudoscorpiones.

Pseudoscorpions feed on the detritus in bee nests & the like, they wait in flowers & use their pincers to hitch rides. There is a picture of one on a fly here: [HYPERLINK@pick5.pick.uga.edu]
