May 4, 2008 10:47 PM | It looks like something from a science fiction movie. Kinda scary! LOL It looks kind of like a cypress seed, but much larger.
I hope you find out before the invasion gets serious.
You haven't seen any little green men have you?

May 6, 2008 11:16 PM | Oh, ewwww. How do I take care of this? Do I just cut them off and that's it? Or do I have to spray it with something. Thanks for all you answers! Andrea |

May 6, 2008 11:34 PM | It probably won't hurt the juniper (yes, just cut it off), but that gall is releasing spores that could infect apples and crabs.
Try a search for cedar-apple rust. The fungus alternates between apples and junipers, but people still (mistakenly) call them "cedars". |
