May 8, 2008 10:03 PM | I am not sure if this is a native Iowa tree or a deliberately planted tree. The blossoms are extremely fragrant, especially in the evening. Anybody know what it is?

May 8, 2008 10:18 PM | Wow, that magnolia is a gorgeous tree. I think my flowers are quite a bit smaller though. I wish it was a magnolia! I didn't even think they would grow here. Here is a pic of my tree from a bit of a distance. I don't think it's quite the same form of flowers.

May 8, 2008 10:19 PM | Ah, an apple! That would be nice too! So I will have to watch for fruit. Could it be a crab apple or do you think it's a real apple?

May 8, 2008 10:40 PM | It's definitely not a crab apple,so a real apple it must be.Looks like you'll get some fruit. |
