I found this flower in bud in our woods a couple of days ago - now it has bloomed, and it is just beautiful. The flowers are the size of half-dollar coins. It reminds me of a trillium, but I searched the site for trillium, but I didn't find one that looks like it. Any ideas?

I believe the species is Tradescantia virginiana.
