I'm not sure when they start to emerge. I have heard ads for GrubX and such lately that paint kind of a doomsday scenerio (of course, they want us to buy their products) and I have dug up several grubs which to my untrained eye appear to be JB grubs (no matter what they are they are not staying alive if I find them, just to be safe). When should I expect to see the actual beetles? I only found 3 or 4 in my yard last year, but I know that's enough to get a population going. :(
