When and how do I propagate a Crepe Myrtle Tree? I have several cuttings coming up from the roots and I would like to root them instead of cutting them off.

This blog covers a lot propagating techniques - I can't vouch for their accuracy but here's one for crepe myrtles:

we use crepe myrtle cuttings for wattles to keep the dogs out of hte beds. by the end of the year I ahve about 20 starts of crepe myrtles. I have transplanted many. All I do is cut and put in the ground in spring and water wiht the rest of my beds. By June/July they are growing new leaves.
