Just signed up because I saw this site and thought I had finally found a free sales area, but couldn't find some information. Found the listing price and percentage not to be toooooo much of a cost (of course any cost at all is close to too much these days) but I want to be sure of all the terms before I sign in and list anything which someone else will take a percentage of; and these terms don't seem to be set in stone yet, or placed in an obvious place as of yet. It kind of just sets you into putting a listing up with little information, lol. Anyway, the point of my post, and my question, follows...

How is the listing fee collected by DavesGarden? And how is it determined and kept track of?

I read a number of posts that said something along the lines of, "they haven't started collecting fees yet, just keep track of your orders so that when they decide how it will work you know how much you owe them..." Ok...

So, assuming this is correct information...and please do correct me if I'm wrong...You sign up and agree to the terms of this, which includes that the terms "may change at any point in time" (and almost always without notice) and list items for sale. Say you sell 1 item and make $100 in profit on that one item (I know, what plant will sell for $100, but it's fictional, please stick with me here, lol) This $100 is pure profit, does not include the S&H. You would owe DavesGarden.com, as I understand it, $3.20, correct?
So we are to keep track of this amount, and at whatever point they say, "O.K. you owe us, we've figured it out, you can start sending the money via [ fill in the blank ] in now" you are obligated to send them the money at this point?

I like to know all the terms of a service before I sign my name to it, lol.
I have to ask, why not just add this to the membership fee of the website; if nothing else, why not make it an added cost per year/month/etc to your subscription? Seems to me like that method would be a little bit more cement, from the looks of it it's heading in the Ebay direction and doesn't even realize it yet, lol. Of course I mean no offense, if you could explain any of this all to me I'm more than willing to listen! Some people prefer trades, and some do prefer to buy or sell; alot do both. All of the sites online which are similar to this one offer a free place to post wanted/trade ads to please those people who trade, but if someone is making or spending a little money using the public forum...man, why not get a chunk of that, huh? Lol.

Thanks in advance for any replies, I really am trying to understand this and figure it out because it really does seem to have some major potential to be a good thing for everyone involved, but I really think all of the terms and agreements need to be in place and understood by those who are going to use it before it's made available to them =/ Obviously anything that goes up has some bugs to work out at the beginning, but there don't seem to be as many bugs as questions at this point =S

Thanks again,
