Hello All! I am new to this forum. My husband and I are looking to redo the floors in our house. We currently have some old brown carpet that is past its time (ugh). We haven't quite decided if we want to stay with carpet or go another route, and we are also researching vendors. To be quite honest, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have a few ideas, but was wondering if anyone in the Southern California area could recommend a specific store location or chain that they have had positive experience with.
Feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time!
I don't know how many SoCal folks follow this forum--if you have Angie's List in your area that is a good place to read reviews of local contractors so I'd check that out if you don't hear back from anyone.
that's a good idea. thanks very much. didn't realize there weren't very many SoCal residents on here...
in case there are, has anyone heard of CarpetWagon.com? I don't know anyone who has any personal experience but I have read great reviews, and they come to your home. Seems to be really user friendly with a wide variety of products to choose from.

We lived in Canyon Country in the mid 80's. Pine Tree subdivision - about a mile east of Sand Canyon Road.
Found a place in Burbank that had great prices on vinyl, etc. Needed to replace carpet in kitchen - have no idea why previous owner had that installed - and also in front of the sliding door to the pool - another strange place for carpet in our opinion.
If I were there, I probably could drive you to the store we used, but cannot remember the name - they were very helpful, too. We explained what we needed to do and they took us to all the products we would need.
The Wickes store on Soledad Canion Road had a number of retired professionals that always gave us great advice. Hope the store is still there and kept their hiring practice. I think it was one of those employees who suggested we look in Burbank.
