I got lavender a couple months ago. I don't know what I did, as I did take some of the flowers off to dry, but it is turning brown in some spots and all the flowers are looking droopy and brown. I was told it wasn't much of a houseplant so I planted him outside but his condition hasn't improved...it hasn't worsened, but I feel so sorry for him as he was once so pretty. Is there something that I can do? He does have good sunlight and is in a well drained area...poor little guy

If you little plant gets really bad then i would suggest - Try cutting back half the woody stems to about 15cm above the ground in the spring. This may encourage it to produce shoots at ground level. If so, the remaining woody stems can be cut the following year. However there is a risk that this will not work. These days most people don''t have the patience for this process and would simply replace an old plant. You could also try taking cuttings see if they do any better :)
