Y'all already know how fascinating and necessary bees are, and probably y'all already have a great thread on bee trivia. But since I couldn't find it, I hope ya don't mind my cross-posting this thread to this forum -

ps - regarding bees and old paintings, thought ya might like this one. In my computer files, I have labeled it as:

and click on Henri Eugene Augustin le Sidaner at The Athenaeum
Scroll down to Hives, Gerbery and click on the title, and then click on the thumbnail.
This is a great scan that could make a great wallpaper for bee lovers
