That is mind-bogglingly beautiful, Helene. It will look stunning on a table. I did some fine-thread crochet years ago, but I got sidetracked by the fine-art reproductions done in counted cross stitch - those things with 120 different colors - so I think all my patterns are gone walk-about, but if any surface as I re-organize the library, I'll be happy to pass them on.
Hello, yes that filet crochet just got to me, i did many things in that method. Now since i bought this embroydery machine, Straightening out the night mare that vista creates with the older software...
That is just beautiful. My mother used to make beautiful doillies that I never appreciated until I tried making them. She made a gorgeous poinsetta table cloth that I would give anything to have now. But as a stupid kid I let my aunt take it when My Dear Mother passed away. I am still kicking myself.
I do a lot of crochet but I am afraid that I couldn't make that table cloth but I would sure like to give it a try. Have you ever seen a pointsetta table cloth. The one she made was out of a beautiful red thread. Would love to find a pattern for that one too.
I would really appreciate it if you could send it to me. The pattern of the one that you made. Well, acutally, you can send me the one you made too. Heheh.
Oh gee, i did'nt check this thread for a while, Of course I'll send you a copy of this pattern very beautiful, can be made in just a large doily, then larger for table cloth. So not boring or challenging and much larger yet.. Just keep on going. Keeping in mind to use good crochet thread such as opera or cebelia. Check www. Herrschners.com Helene
If you want to mail me the pattern my address is in the address forum. Or I will give it to you if need be or you can send it to me in PDF format.
Thank you so much. Its a beautiful table cloth.
I couldn't get to the site that you mentioned.
I'll mail it to you still have your note/card from when you sent the pin cushion pattern.
I'll just make a copy from the book. Old, Old book.
Probably be doing this in the new year as i have a few peeps in the house through the holidays. 6 tomorrow 8 on thurs 4-6 every day, in and out.
Happy Holidays Helene

Have not found pattern for oval table cloth. I could probably convert this round one. i still have so many crochet books, booklet from my Mama, yes there are so many patterns. I have an oval in filet crochet, but not in this any more/just now.
Living here in Fl. in a townhouse, even though it is large, I am finding our Living habits so different from up North. No room for fancy tablecloths and many other things I was used to. Jean, thanks for thinking of me. Helene

Helene, what an absolutely beautiful tablecloth. I would love to know where I can get a copy of the pattern, please. my mother used to do some beautiful crochet work and would be very impressed by the beautiful job! Are you able to send a PDF to me by email?
A round tablecloth is what I need. Machine embroidery is also a hobby of mine, I haven't crocheted in 25 years and am just starting to get back to doing some cloths for my table. Your photos of your machine applique is lovely. Is applique difficult?
I have been searching for a oval crochet tablecloth. I have made 3 of the ones you have in this picture. Can it be made into an oval shape? I have done many of the pineapple designs and that was my favorite one. In fact it was the first one I ever made. Took me 6 weeks of constantly working on it when I was about 30 years younger. Still love to crochet but my wrists don't let me like they use to since I broke both of the 2 years ago. Won't give up. I want to make my daughter an oval tableclothe if it is the last thing I do. Please help if you know of any patterns or how do you alter this one? Would very much appricate you help. Thank You Pat

I too have been on a quest for finding an Oval Crocheted table cloth and in one piece..Yes, I know a lot in your lap but I really like it in one piece...haven't done table cloths per say more like runners..and I'm just now getting use to knitting..but my favorite is crocheting...
