Thursday, we had a terrific storm come through just before the farmers market opened at 11:00 am. 70 mph winds. Many people lost their wares and their tents and it was really a mess. My DH was out there helping everyone out, lightning everywhere...it was incredible.
We have our market trailer now that we work off of and we were safe and dry.
While he was out doing that, some degenerate got into our truck (I think that my hubby might have forgot to lock it or hit the unlock button in all the confusion of the weather), and stole his wallet! We wouldn't have even realized it if our credit card company didn't call us because of suspicious purchases. Thank God they are on the ball! AFter they called, we started checking other cards and sure enough...we were hit. So far we've had about $200 worth of smokes, gas, shopping, food put on our cards. They are all canceled now.
I hope that they get ecoli from tainted food! What a mess it has been all afternoon, calling them and the stores that things were purchased. Also called the police and made a report.
I feel so violated and in the middle of a devastating storm too!
What kind of people do things like that? Lazy, good for nothing, nothing but a bump on a log people...get off your butts and get a job!
And you know what really angers me, is that if these people were hungry I would've been the first one to feed them!
I hope I find who it is. Sadly, last week I caught a guy with his hand about 8 inches from my cash drawer. I turned, he stepped back and walked away. We reported it and the police came and talked to him. I didn't see this same guy this week, but this is only our 3rd week here and two out of 3 weeks this happens?
Good market, lousy neighborhood.
God will take care of them in the end! Sorry, you can see I'm really frustrated by this.
