I've inherited an old farmstead - this blue ground cover blooms about now (June) and spreads slowly. It does not have a very strong stem, and does not like to be stepped upon. It's about 6 inches tall - but usually just is kind of floppy.

I think it might be Campanula ...beautiful Rose by the way,just love that colour ...

is it possible that this is nepeta nervosa blue carpet. Since I can't see the stalks that the flowers rest on or the leaves of this gorgeous plant nepeta nervose blue carpet is the closest thing I can think of. I would love to have a bunch of this stuff. thanks for sharing the picture...it is beautiful stuff. D

Wow! What a great response - thank you everybody! I'm gonna go with icanfindroom (how apt!) - it sure looks like a Veronica - when I goggled it, I got a perfect picture that really matched. Thanks again!!
