Well, in addition to all the other problems I've had with my tomatoes this year, it turns out a bunch of things are also mislabeled. I finally got some tomatoes picked, but I have no idea what they are--my plant tag says "Black Cherry"--which these clearly are not.
Does anyone have any ideas what these might be? They ripen to a rich red color, are very meaty and juicy with few seeds, and a really wonderful deep, rich flavor. Based on what I planted, I'm guessing they might be Neves Azorean Red, but those were supposed to be in a completely different EB. Other possibilities are Atkinson or Sioux, but I thought those were much more rounded in shape and less, well, bumpy (sorry I don't know the right word for it!). Can bad growing conditions change the shape of a tomato by this much?
I'd really like to get the ID right, so I can do these again. Thanks for any help!
