Doing much better with the veggies this year ... however I thing I planted to close and my "crook-neck yellow squash" cross-pollinated with the cucumbers. IE:

LMBO!!!

Cut it in half, cook the squash end, slice the cucumber end and serve in a salad!

I had something fused too...yellow crooked neck but it was like three tried to form from one bud. The cukes were planted behind them but mine never turned green they were yellow just fused and looked a mess. I let it grow to maybe five inches and just cut it off and threw it away. I think I would try eating yours though.

That is too funny... If you could get it to also cross-pollinate with some lettuce and a tomato, all you will need is a little dressing to make a great salad!

Last year my mom planted yellow lemon cucumbers next to regular cucumbers and ended up with weird-shaped orange ones.
Your's looks a lot more appetizing!

Slice the whole thing up and eat it in a salad. Raw squash are great in a salad. Or, if you are from the south, just fry it.

Squacumber Update: in the time frame of one day - it withered and died on the vine. It looks like as soon as it began producing seed in earnest the mother plant did not know what to send it and just shut it down - no moisture, no nutrients, nada.

I believe it was on a cukecumber vine as all cukecumber production has stopped & I am still getting squash.

I am happy - everything is setting fruit - except the eggplant that was put in late due the rains we got this spring. Still this is my best year to date. ie:
