I just moved to Mobile AL, and about a week ago to my new house, I have been really wanting to start my own vegetable garden for months now. I just planted some seeds in containers about 2 days ago but not sure whether they'll germinate or not since all my nice collection of seeds were on a hot trailor for about 4 months. It is extremely hot here in Mobile and so I thought maybe I could start the seddlings now and plant them later down the season, when it is not so hot and humid. Is it a good idea or not? I remember planting tomatoes in the past during the very hot summer months and did not have hardly any production at all. Also how many tomato plants should I put out for 4 people and for salsa etc,,,?
