I live in Nanaimo BC and I planted my onions a month and a half ago, just a week ago they started to wilt and die, when I dug them up the onion bulb was muchie and shreaded. You can see that they had grown to a good size, and had good root growth, with tall healthy greens, then the greens fell over from the soil and dried up. I did notice one small grub in the soil when I dug up one of them but not on any of the others. Does anyone know what it might be and if I can do something to stop it before all of my onions are dead.
