I live in CT, have a large veggie garden and I can harvest out of that baby 10 months out of the year. well, the beautiful wife wants flowers and so we got some flowers. We picked up an orchid, it's in the kitchen, don't remember the name - I'd send a pic - but- well. no more flowers. Oh, and it's the wife's favorite. I need a few quick tips. The flowers were a pinkish rose on a two 11" stalks. foliage is a nice dark dreen. plant seems healthy.
What do you do when the flowers drop off? does it get cut back? in th late summer and early spring it is 60-80% humidity and 70 degrees during the day - can the plant go outside in Connecticut? I don't know the name of mine, but can any orchid grow outdoors in zone 6 without going to crazy caring for it?
hmm...
thanks -joe-
