Perhaps you could give me some tips...I am wondering when to start my perennial seeds?
I want to start them this summer sometime , plant the small plants this fall and then get them to blooming size next year.
However, some say not to bother trying to start them this summer because of the heat stress on seedlings and need for scarification/stratification (cold treatments). Just go with Wintersowing and be done with it.
I want to start: various asclepias, various eupatorium, digitalis, solidago, agastaches, larkspur, polemonium, aquilegia, chelone, and a few others.
I don't have a green house to house the plants past frost dates.
Please let me know what you are doing with your seeds and how you do it. I would love to know.
Thanks. t.
