My wife just completed a 'superheated water' experiment!
The dramatic phase change blew the microwave door open, dislodged the turntable with the cup still on it, and the measuring cup was empty after disgorging all it's contents onto the inside surface of the m'wave oven and the countertop, floor and my wife! (who fortunately just has a coupla red spots from the boiling splash)
