Hi everyone,

I have gotten to know what plants are wonderful in my area of Georgia, but I have a family favor to do on Marco Island, near Naples.

I have about $100,000 budget to do a garden landscape. I will find out more details over the next few days. All I know now is...its not a huge property and its on the water.

All sprinklers and hardscape ie: rocks, fountain, arbor or bench will be in addition to the budget.

One of my favorite flowers to grow in Georgia is the Calla lily.
What is your favorite flower or plant? The one that everyone says "Wow, what is that, or I didnt know they would grow here".

Also, What bulbs grow that far south. I know I cant grow tulips by me because there is not enough cold.
Asiatic, Oriental lily, daffodil and hyacinth grow great.

How about tall garden Phlox. Is that a basic down there?

I will be making a trip down in about 2 weeks to browse around nursery's and to talk with the owners.

I have all red clay here. So I just kill the grass and dump good garden soil.
How would you amend your sand if you were starting from scratch and money wasnt a concern.?

Thanks for everyones thoughts,
chris
