I just received word that Julius Boos a valued contributor to both International Aroid Society and Aroid l was diagnosed earlier this week with Pancreatic cancer.
It appears his prognosis is not good.

If you have done any serious study of Aroids you know his name well.
If you're an Aroid fan you have for sure run across many of his scientific papers or descriptions of new species probably w/o knowing who authored them.
Google Julus Boos Aroid and you will be amazed at what he's done for furthering knowledge of the Araceae family of plants.
Keep him in your hearts and if you've a mind too your prayers.
