The gravel water feature is a very imaginative work of art which must be a great conversation piece for visitors. The bird-bath planter looks handsome too. Not meaning to sound preachy though, I hope everyone manages to provide a little water dish for wildlife somewhere in their garden.
Thanks for your kind comments, older. I do have a mini birdbath that actually functions as such. I've got it perched on a fence post (see below). The water in it lasts only a day or so, depending on the weather. I fill it when I'm watering my outdoor potted plants. The rapid evaporation is actually a bonus, since it's a natural way to control mosquito larvae.
I do have several "wa-wa" fountains that birds frequent as well. Their favorite one is our barrel fountain (photo below). Happy gardening! Larry☼
