Our top load washing machine gave out today. Anyone have recommendations on a front load washer?

Also has anyone been having vibration problems with being on the second story floor or first floor over a walk out basement?

I have had my Whirlpool front-loader for about a year now and I love it. As to the 2nd story, I've heard they will vibrate if not on concrete or very steady surface.

Thanks. We just had one delivered this morning. The vibration is minimal. The plus is that it is quieter and washes larger loads than the last one.

Amen on the larger loads! I have been able to wash queen-size down comforters with room to spare. I agree about the vibration. Mine has a super-high speed you can select which I've used a few times. If I have something on top of the washer (like a dirty towel), I've noticed they sometimes get vibrated off. And mine is on a part of the house that is on a concrete foundation. Found 2-3 small towels behind the washer the other day. :~)
