Do you want an ivy or just a vine? If you want a flowering ivy, I'm not sure if such a beast exists. If you just want something that will cover fast - I'd recommend silverlace vine because it covers so quickly and effortlessly. Can be a little invasive, but your climate might keep it in check.

whodey1 - Clematis armandii and it's cultivars is a flowering vine that may suit your needs. It is evergreen and has fragrant blooms in spring. It has been profiled here at Dave's website as growing in Zone6. It is not invasive. Here's a link: http://www.thegardeners-directory.co.uk/profile4.htm
